Rusd/longfellow Elementary School

I’ve been waiting for 22 years to say that I hate this school!!!! I hate the teacher I had and I hate the principle at the time.... when I attended this school as a kid. I was put in class with another little Mexican girl that like me didn’t speak English. The teacher took pleasure in making fun of both her and I. Not once but many times throughout the day during the entire year! She would say.... you two should get married! You both don’t and will never learn to speak English!!! Then she would ask us to stand and say words of her choice... all words that had funny meanings or that we just couldn’t say. I did not speak English but understood it and was very hurt by all she said. I would try to run away everyday! I would run and try to jump the fence as I lived directly across the street. Often my mother would stand outside and watch me through the windows. So I would be calm during class. I just hated being there. My mother went to the principle after I told her what was going on. The principle did absolutely nothing. Luckily we moved and I was freed from the ridicule and complete lack of respect by that horrible teacher. I was only 6 and till this day remember the feelings I had when I went to this school. I hope she didn’t continue to treat children the way she did. If at all this comment somehow reach this teacher... I have the following msg for you. I not only learned! I have accomplished many things beyond mastering a language! I have also in all this time learned to forgive you for what you did to me. I hope now that you are an old woman karma treats you way better than you treated me!

Because I go to school there and I've also went to other schools bear riverside and none of them beat longfellow
