What an amazing church! The presence of the living Christ is evident among this body of believers and they are passionate about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with their community. The name of Jesus was honored and exalted in their worship. I would recommend this church to anyone seeking a vibrant community of people of faith. The atmosphere is inviting and warm, and the people friendly.

I stayed in nearby Del Mar awaiting the birth of my son with a surrogate. I sent the church an email on their website with these facts and asked for their prayers and support, and I included my email and cell phone no. I am also a member of a PCUSA church and serve as an ordained deacon for my church which is in another state, so I thought I would reach out to another PCUSA nearby for support during this stressful process. I did not hear anything from the SBPC for a few days. My son was born that week and I went to service at SBPC and placed a prayer request card with the same information in their offering plate. Five days passed and the church staff never made any contact with me. We flew back home after ten days and to date nobody ever reached out to confirm church members were praying for us or to offer their support in any way. As for the service, I asked one woman for directions and she was super nice and introduced herself. When we passed the peace, the woman who sat next to me was very nice too and I told her my story. She wished me luck as we were leaving. However, no church staff or attenders approached me before, during, or after service. After service I stayed for a while outside around the nice area where there are refreshments, but nobody spoke to me or even made any attempt. If ever asked, I cannot recommend this church. This was a deeply disappointing experience and a total failure of the church staff to adhere to key tenets of our Christian faith.

Not friendly at all. The operators of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves.
