Our goal is to provide a loving and stimulating environment which encourages a child to grow intellectually, to interact appropriately with peers and adults, and to exhibit respect for himself and others.
This YMCA facility has the WORST customer service, the WORST communication, the WORST attitude, and they do not treat families equally. They give exceptions to whomever they choose without letting us know that exceptions are made. I asked them to place my son with his sister in the same class, they refused to do that by telling me that his age is not appropriate with that group, however, when I visited my daughter's class, there were many kids his age placed in this class. My son hated his first day at the YMCA because all the kids in his group are two years younger than him. They could have kept the sister and brother who are only one year apart together. They placed them in two different facilities, and they even go to different days on field trips. I called Tracy, the director of the facility, and explained to her that my son didn't like that he is the oldest in his class by two years and that we prefer to keep the sister and brother together since his age permits to go to the bigger kids class, this way I drop them off together and pick them up together instead of driving to two different facilities, also this way I can join their field trips if I want to on one day instead of two different days. Tracy, the director, put me on hold three times and then gave the phone to the office manager where I explained the situation to her again. I was told that Tracy, the director, is the only one who approves these things. They promised to let Tracy call me after 15 minutes to see what they can do about it, I waited two hours but no one called, I went to the facility to see what is going on and I asked for Tracy, the director, they said she was gone for the day and she will not put the brother and sister together even if there is an open spot or his age allows. Why? probably because she said so, that's is all, I couldn't find any other reason!!!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE, THE WORST PLACE TO PUT YOUR KIDS THERE , WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. NOT PROFESSIONAL, THE FACILITY EVEN SMELLS AND DIRTY. NOT PLEASANT AT ALL!!!!!
I went to the YMCA for 3 years. Those years was the amazing years of my life.Since,i went to the y for so long it became my family.Mrs.Tract the director is so nice and humble. She treated me and my sister so nicely. Thank you Mrs.Tract for all that you done for us.I Love you with all my heart.
This Early Learning Center is as good as pre-school gets. I am a Diamond Bar resident and was looking for the best local pre-school for my 3 year old. Quality, cost, and safety were major factors I considered. I visited most of the pre-schools in the area before deciding on the YMCA Early Learning Center. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family, this is an EXCELLENT school. It has a warm and friendly environment. The staff is great and communicate well! The director is very nice, always available, and open to updating me on my child's day. I was very impressed by their new facility equipped with a computer lab, two large secure playgrounds, organized and clean classrooms, and of course the teachers and personnel that truly do a great job caring for my son. I have visited other preschools and unfortunately the security there was not as good as the security at this YMCA Early Learning Center. This school feels very safe and there are many safety measures that I appreciate. In this day in age, this was very important to me. I was nervous at first to leave my son with strangers. However, the director and my son's teacher have proven to be experienced caregivers that I can trust and rely on. I am very grateful for the care that they have shown my son. I appreciate their energy and passion to teach the little ones. I have two older children who are enrolled in the YMCA After School program. They are elementary school age. That program is also excellent and I highly recommend it. My kids are safe, they have a location right at their school where they just go into the classroom after school day ends. They do homework, play, have a great time. The YMCA is doing an excellent service to the community. The prices are better than the local alternatives and their quality of care is great. Highly recommend this center, they are doing a fine job.
I enrolled my daughter to this YMCA. She went to Teen Camp which was located at the Diamond Pointe school. They had a field trip to Raging Water one day. My daughter texted me before they left and told me that they couldn't bring anything to Raging Water. I assumed by "anything", she meant valuable stuff such as phone and money. At the end of the day, as usual I went to Diamond Pointe to pick her up. There were several other parents waiting to pick up their kids. And then one lady (a YMCA staff) came and posted an announcement on a classroom door and told us that kids were dropped off at the Sunset Crossing YMCA. She said the teacher didn't bring the key so we had to get the stuff the next day. It didn't make sense that they dropped off our kids at the other YMCA when their stuff was at this location. And it was only 5 minutes drive between those 2 locations. So other parents and I went to the Sunset Crossing YMCA to pick up our kids. We got there and we saw our kids were only in their swimsuits. Apparently when they said kids couldn't bring anything, that included towels. So our kids went back from Raging Water in their wet swimsuit, not covered. There were a number of teenage girls walking around in swimsuits. That is ridiculous. There were 4 YMCA staff going to the Raging Water with our kids. I believe our kids were old enough, they could fold their towels and put them in a pile and YMCA staff can take turn watching the towels. Or, they can even leave the towels in the van if they're worried someone would steal our kids' towels. And it's even better, one of the YMCA staff rented a locker for herself so she could change after swimming but not our kids. Apparently those YMCA staff didn't care about our kids. They went swimming and had fun instead. When I picked up my daughter, she complained that she was cold. She got sick the next day. Also, YMCA staff at Sunset crossing didn't even know that our kids were going to be dropped off at their location. One of the staff told us that another staff was driving back to Diamond Pointe to get our kids' stuff. But later she informed us that the guy couldn't do it because there was too many stuff. But the classroom was unlocked so we could go back there to pick up our kids' stuff. So we went driving back to Diamond Pointe to get our kids stuff. Frankly, I won't enroll my kids to this YMCA anymore. They're not organized and apparently they don't care about our kids.
